In the Beginning

Tonally absurd and richly colorful, In the Beginning is a short film directed by Ala Nunu and co-produced with Cola Animation (Portugal) and Yellow Tapir (Poland). Through bold visual storytelling and dark humor, the film weaves together three true stories that portray the human need to control the narrative. From a doomed space probe releasing tardigrades on the moon, to mythical interpretations of birds of paradise, to the abandonment of hamsters during Covid-era Hong Kong.
